Books for Kids

L.L. Chapman is a children’s author based in Texas. She is the proud mother of an adopted daughter and the devoted owner of two lovable Pit bulls, Cara and Mila. They are the inspiration behind the name C&M Press. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and over 20 years of teaching experience in both online and traditional classroom settings, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her work.

L.L. Chapman’s lifelong love of reading began in her childhood, when she would carry home as many books as she could check out from the library. Her frequent reply of "just one more chapter" became a familiar refrain whenever she was asked to pause her reading. This passion for storytelling has shaped her career and inspired her to create books that ignite the same joy and imagination in young readers. Her daughter, now a young adult, shares this love of books and continues their tradition of weekly library visits.

In addition to her current work on picture books, L.L. Chapman has previously authored preschool activity workbooks designed to engage young learners through fun and educational activities. These workbooks combine her expertise as an educator with her creativity, helping children build foundational skills while fostering a love for learning.

Currently, she is working on a heartwarming picture book series inspired by her dogs, Cara and Mila. These stories explore everyday life through the eyes of her playful pups, helping children see themselves in the characters while learning essential social and behavioral skills in a developmentally appropriate way.

Through her writing, L.L. Chapman hopes to inspire the next generation of readers to discover the transformative magic of stories.
